We are not a legal plan, nor a DIY website. We are a New York Law Firm with an experienced team of high-caliber lawyers and business associates, most of whom have been working together for years. We pride ourselves in our unique approach to the practice of law and you can rest assured that we will pursue your objectives in the most efficient and transparent manner possible. In addition to achieving success, we are here to help you understand your legal options and relieve any apprehension you may have about starting or growing your business.
We specialize in bringing the law to your corner. We are dedicated to understanding what results you want and helping you understand what actions we can take on your behalf. We will work with you every step of the way to make sure you understand the choices you are making and feel empowered to make them. At times, more than one area of expertise is required for a particular issue. With us, there’s no need to seek out other attorneys or businesses you may need to help you grow and be successful and profitable.
Our attorneys have a proven track record of successfully assisting start-ups and growing businesses and we use that experience to help you down a path to the results you need. We are living in an age of mass information via the internet which often results in the need for quick answers and results. We are also constantly bombarded with paid ads, commercials, and social influencers all of which further tempt us to take what appears to be a faster, less inexpensive, and easier route. During those moments of temptation, we encourage you to remember the old proverb, "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is".
Lidia Szczepanowski, Esq., a corporate, commercial and transactional attorney for over 30 years, has assisted countless clients and procured effective solutions for their business related problems, issues and needs. She has represented clients in a wide range of cases in the areas of corporate and commercial litigation, business entity formation, contract negotiation and drafting, real estate, and bankruptcy, just to name a few. In addition to diligently representing her clients, Lidia always does her best to maintain open and timely communication with her clients while holding herself to the highest standards of integrity, competence, and excellence.
Lidia attended Hofstra University where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in International Business. Thereafter she attended St. John's University School of Law. During law school, Lidia interned with the Honorable Arthur D. Spatt in the Appellate Division for the State of New York, Second Department and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Lidia received her Juris Doctorate in June 1990. Soon after graduating, Lidia became a partner in a successful general practice law firm on Long Island where she provided legal counsel predominately in the areas of corporate and commercial litigation. Lidia currently maintains an “of counsel” relationship with several law firms and has appeared on numerous television and radio shows as a legal correspondent.
Lidia was selected by the Long Island Business News as one of Long Island’s Top 50 Most Influential Women in Business on two separate occasions and she has received a myriad of Proclamations, Citations and other accolades from local, state and national leaders. One honor which Lidia is most proud of is a Letter of Recognition from Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor who acknowledged Lidia as a positive role model for all women.
Lidia exemplifies the real-life embodiment of the words “success, independence, entrepreneurship, and glamour”. But most importantly, despite her extraordinarily busy schedule, she is most passionate about “giving back” through proactive “hands-on” participation in philanthropy and philanthropic activities.
Philanthropy and playing an active role in the improvement of the human condition have long been Lidia’s most consuming motivations. In 2007, she founded the National Organization for Women’s Safety Awareness (NOWSA), a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit that helps prevent violence against women and teens, and raises awareness about sexual assault, harassment and other forms of violence.
Lidia volunteers and appears regularly as a legal correspondent, personal safety expert, and entrepreneurial consultant in numerous media outlets and has been invited as a keynote speaker for educational institutions and other organizations such as St. John’s University School of Law, St. John’s University, Molloy College, National Association of Women Business Owners, Suffolk County Women’s Business Enterprise Coalition, and the Nassau Suffolk Dental Societies, to name a few. For several years, Lidia has been invited as a panel speaker by the St. John’s School of Law, Multilingual Legal Advocates, a student organization that pairs up multilingual law students with volunteer opportunities, at their annual event entitled "Marketing Your Multilingualism." Lidia has also volunteered her time as an evaluator at the Supreme Court, Queens County, for the New York Regional Round of the National Trial Competition (NTC).
Lidia is also a volunteer, event host, and Director of Marketing for the New York Boutique Lawyers Networking Group (NYBLNG). Lidia has been instrumental in helping to create, develop, and implement many successful events and establish a presence on many social media platforms.
In addition to her winning record as a lawyer, black belt in karate, women’s lifestyle and personal safety expert, and businesswoman, Lidia has also managed to incorporate some glamour into her life. She holds the titles of Mrs. New York America 2006, Mrs. New York International 2009, Mrs. Corporate America 2013, and in May 2017, she won the international title of Ms. World Elite. Although Lidia’s pageant platform is women’s safety awareness, she has also promoted the ideology that there are no limits to what individuals in our country can achieve and she encourages women to celebrate their achievements, accomplishments and contributions to their families, careers, and communities. Her mission continues to be to inspire and challenge women to always try new things, never settle for the ordinary and experience life to the fullest.
Lidia is also the owner of Everything Lidia, Inc., an award winning multi-platform luxe lifestyle enterprise that is devoted to providing practical and thought-provoking information, insights and ideas through seminars, speaking engagements, social and other media offerings and products which encourage women to live even more successful, passionate, fulfilling, confident, safe, and glamorous lives! SCULPTURA [Sculpt-It-Your-Way] Shapewear Dresses are the company's latest offering.
In April, 2015, Everything Lidia, Inc. and Lidia, as its President and CEO, were awarded a prestigious Folio Award for being “Best Corporate Communicator” by the Fair Media Council.
Today, Lidia continues to spend countless hours volunteering her time with numerous charities and she is also using her growing celebrity status, extensive legal background, vast business and leadership skills, practical marketing and public relations knowledge, and unique insights to make a positive difference in the lives of women by sharing information about “Getting, Having & Enjoying It All”. As a Modern Day Renaissance Woman, Lidia educates and motivates women to realize their true self-worth and reach their maximum achievement potential while enjoying the ride and attaining genuine happiness.
Lidia is the mother of three successful children and she currently resides on Long Island with her husband. During her free time, she enjoys playing with her three dogs, dirt bike riding, fitness training, martial arts, playing tennis, skiing, windsurfing, boating and jumping waves on her jet ski.
